Which is the crossover EV for you, the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E or Honda Prologue? Our comparison guide takes a look at how these models stack up. You should note, however, that we don’t know everything about the Prologue just yet. When Honda releases more information about its upcoming crossover EV, we’ll update this space with everything we learn!
Modern Features: It’s (Probably) a Tie!
Although we don’t know much about which features the Honda Prologue will include, it’s a safe bet that these EVs will be pretty similarly equipped. We know that the Ford Mustang Mach-E comes standard with a 15.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and faux-leather upholstery. Available features include a panoramic fixed-glass roof, the hands-free BlueCruise driving system, and heated seats. We expect the Prologue to offer a similar list of creature comforts.
Sporty Speed: 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E
In the realm of midsize crossover EVs, the Mustang Mach-E is known for its quick, agile performance. In fact, the quickest version of this EV — the GT Performance Edition — goes from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds! And every trim model was built to deliver a fun-loving drive, with output ranging from 266 horsepower, with the base Select, all the way up to 480 horses with the GT Performance Edition.
Although we don’t yet know how fast the Honda Prologue will be, we think this EV will focus less on high-octane performance and more on family-friendly comfort. But the Prologue will surely offer enough power to get around town with total confidence.
EV Range: 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E
As with power output, the Mustang Mach-E’s battery range varies according to which of the four trim models you select. The California Route 1 model gives you the lengthiest range, traveling up to 312 miles between charges. On the other end of the spectrum, the base Select model has a 247-mile driving range.
We don’t know how far the Honda Prologue will travel between charges. However, we do know that it will feature the same battery technology as the Chevy Blazer EV, which has a 247-mile range. With a bigger battery pack, the Prologue may achieve anywhere from 250 to 320 miles, but we’ll have to wait for more details to know for sure!
Availability: 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E
The Mustang Mach-E is available right now! That makes it the best choice for drivers who can’t wait to drive home in a new crossover EV. The Honda Prologue, on the other hand, isn’t due out for at least another year.
