Sedan’s sales continue to drop year after year, as the population shifts more towards SUVs. Let’s face it, most of us would like more space in a vehicle, with more room for our stuff in the cargo area, and SUVs do this for us, often while matching sedans in gas mileage. The drop in sales continues, and recently Ford trimmed their entire lineup to focus only on SUVs and pickups. The only “car” they currently offer is the Mustang. This meant that in 2020 many Ford Fusion enthusiasts were dismayed to see their favorite sedan go quietly into the night. This sadness turned into optimism when Ford announced the return of the model name, the Fusion Active, which many believe will return in 2023.
